Q4. How did you use media technologies in the construction and research, planning and evaluation stages?

-
I found that using different media technologies for my planning and research posts has really helped me to progress and improve my media skills, as some technologies I wasn't to familiar with and therefore it gave me good practice with testing out the green screen, final cut etc so that when it came to filming and editing my music video I was already familiar and continued to improve my skills from there. Also, I really enjoyed learning the different media technologies, even though at times challenges arised and I was faced with difficulties. However, this only made me more determined to carry on learning and progressing.

Here are a few clips of myself and Charlotte setting up the green screen, and how both myself and Charlotte found this the most challenging, including the editing of our video in final cut.

Here is a Jing video of how myself and Charlotte were able to improve our media technology skills through using Blogger for our research and planning posts.
I found Blogger to be really successful for both myself and Charlotte as it helped me to become more creative when addressing my research and planning posts. You were able to display your creative media skills visually rather than just typing up notes or idea's that you wanted to use. This encouraged my idea's for my music video as through Blogger you could upload clips and gifs that you had created to visually show your idea's. Because when you test out your idea's creatively you can get more of a sense as to whether they would work in your music video.

Here is an example of me and Charlotte setting up our tripod in London. I would definitely agree that the use of the tri-pod and my camera helped me to construct my idea's for my research, planning and evaluation stages as I was able to research and plan what shots would be best by physically going out and using my camera. It also helped me with specific elements in a shot such as different angles and whether to use low/high key shots to either capture a specific emotion or body language portrayed by the protagonist or the artist. Not only did these media technologies help me to construct my research/planning/evaluation posts but also gave me an insight and confidence boost with different equipments and therefore I will be able to take this knowledge and skills to university.

How did you use media technologies in the construction and research, planning and evaluation stages?

Technology Used for Evaluation

Here are a few images of me using blogger and final cut. Both of these technologies helped me significantly when constructing my research/planning and evaluation stages. I had never really used final cut in previous years of taking media, and found it to be extremely stressful and challenging to understand. However, once I got the hang of it it was a lot easier to understand, and therefore I found it extremely useful when uploading or constructing mini video's for my blogger. For example, especially for my planning and research stages, I would often make little mini video's of music video's or artists that have influenced me, and would either add voiceovers or YouTube tags to these.
Overall the use of final cut has allowed my blogger to look a lot more create and visual, which really helped me with the different concepts and ideas that I had in mind. Not only that, but when it came to actually editing my music video I was already familiar with some of the tools and therefore I found editing less challenging.

Q3. What have you learned from your audience feedback?

Overall I am really happy with my advert, as the feedback that are recieved are all really positive, and the only criticism that they gave me was that they thought the font was a bit weak and that it was easily overlooked as it blended in with the background. I definitely agree with that they're saying, but I think that black was a just bit dull and boring and didnt really have any connotations from my music video/song or even my digipack. A couple of others suggested that the background could have been a bit more abstract. However, I felt that there was a lot going on amongst the siloheutte of the frame, and therefore I wanted to keep the background pretty simple in comparison to the foreground, using the same, warm colours throughout.
I didn't have any big criticism for my digipack, which I was extremely pleased with. However, a couple of people pointed out a really big mistake that I had made, and that was that on the back cover of my digipack I had spelt 'Ed Sheeran' instead of 'Frank Miller.' I panicked because I had merged all of my layers together and had not saved any of the layers individually. Therefore, I wasn't able to go back to the layer where I had used text. Instead, I used the smudged tool on Photoshop to delete the 'Ed Sheeran' typing, and then replaced it with 'Frank Miller.'
Therefore, I have learned that it is always useful to use audience feedback and get their opinions as they were able to point out the tiniest of mistakes that I had not even noticed myself. It's the little tiny errors that I could have lost a few marks on. Also, I was extremely happy with the audience feedback that I recieved as me and my group did work really hard and it's nice to hear that it has paid off.

Survery and Results

Here is some audience feedback that I received from my peers after they had viewed my music video.

Here is some feedback that we recieved from our peers. A survey was held where our audience was asked to vote for their favourite music video. We came fourth out of eleven.

Q2. How effective is the combination of your main product and ancillary texts?

-

We decided on a font called 'Hasteristico' which we discovered on a website called DaFont. At first both myself and Charlotte found it difficult to decide on the name of our artist, as we wanted to keep it simple but still having a coolness about it. When we decided on the name 'Frank Miller' we thought that our font should represent our artist just as much as the name did. Therefore, the font is quite plain but is still strong and fits perfectly when representing a male indie/pop artist. As you can see from our video clip, we had other idea's of using other interesting fonts, however I think that some of them could have been a bit distracting and taken away the concept and effect of our advert + digipack.

Combination of main product and ancillary task

Try our slideshow creator at Animoto.
Even though we decided that the image of our artist wasn't as important as the music, we still done a lot of thorough research into our artists outfit, as we had to choose carefully the colours and styles that we were wearing as we wanted Frank Miller to have the 'typical London look' for a male. You could suggest that this went against the combination of our main product as the lyrics to his song are about him feeling lost and swallowed up by this new hectic lifestyle he has been brought into. Therefore, we could have styled him in more of a unique way to convey the theme of him feeling lost and lonely. However, we still wanted to keep him current and fresh, and therefore we decided to use well known brands such as Hollister, and use the colour scheme of red and white in his costumes throughout. We decided to use both these colours as not only do they contrast, but the red represents his passion for music whereas the use of the white imagery represents his innoncence and naiveity to his new lifestyle that he is trying to adapt to.

Assessment - Final Planning check 08th Nov SJA

www:

  • WOW! Brittany, what a fantastic blog to read through and enjoy! I have really enjoyed looking over your blog. It's very visual, engaging and shows loads of really thoughtful creativity and excellence in the use of media to explore your concept and communicate your ideas.
  • Every post is visual, and when I read your thoughts, there is a real sense that your clearly and genuinely engaged with the task - not just going through the motions. You seem to enjoy what you are working on- and this comes through in your posts. They are actually 'interesting' to read.
  • Excellent photoshop work on CD cover designs, etc. I am very much looking forward to seeing what you and Charlotte produce.
Well done!

some suggested ebi's:
  • For 'technical tutorials' - did you produce a short edited clip in Final Cut? if so, upload it.
  • - Song Details - really good idea to film yourself and Charlotte talking to camera - could perhaps re-edit this imovie by including the track playing softly in the back ground - or making reference to some key lyrics somehow... Would give the reader / viewer a better feel for the song
  • - Storyboards - the Animatic is great. To really show anyone marking your blog that you have an excellent knowledge of technical terms, perhaps come back to your storyboards (the paper copies) and include more technical info - comments on lighting, camera movement... framing / composition, etc... etc. There doesn't seem to be much of this info here at the moment...
  • Check that all posts have clear labels
Overall, this is Excellent Brittany. You should feel really proud of what you have done and you have clearly invested loads of time on your work. I am really looking forward to seeing your concept come to life in your music video!

Track permission letter

A track permission letter allows us to contact an artists through either letter or email. Me and Charlotte had to ensure that we had permission from the artist themselves or their management to allow us to use their song for our music video that we're going to create, and other promotion packages that the song will have a heavy influence on. It is vital to write/send a track permission letter as otherwise it can be perceived as copyright against the artist and their management as you must ask for consent. Even professionals and major television companies have to get permission from the artist to use their music in their programmes, no matter how successful the programme is and how small the music company might be. Therefore, me and Charlotte had to ensure that we took our time and really concentrated on perfecting our permission letter and so we researched how to write one and looked at previous permission letters written by past students to really get an intake of what we should and shouldn't include.

Talent release forms

Nathan is an external member of the group, therefore it is even more important we have proof of his acceptance to perform and feature in our music video. He is our lead male in the video therefore he will have a lot of screen time which the audience will see. It is important that he recognises where mine and Charlotte's work will be displayed, and how all our footage that we will be filming of him will be used whilst he plays the role of 'Frank Miller.'

Even though Charlotte is already a member of our group, she decided that she would like to play the lead role of our female character, as she is extremely confident in front of the camera and she would also be a lot less of a reliability for our group. By her signing this form she is accepting that she is willing to be in our footage and images that we will be taking of her.
The usage of footage and the series of images that both Charlotte and Nathan will be apart of will be used for educational purposes and uploaded online and onto various internet websites like YouTube, Facebook and Tumblr etc. Later on at the end of Year 13 we will have a media showcase, where this is most likely to be shown, so therefore it is vital that we actually their release forms filled out and signed.

Location permission letters

Only one of our locations requires permission to film in, which is the green screen within our school location. Therefore we have written an email to the school technicians which control this area of media, to ask for permission to use the equipment and some technical help to set it up. Once we have confirmation of the permission we will soon book a date to film with our main character Nathan Bedford against the green screen.  This will also require the booking of media equipment such as a tripod and various camera's to capture different shots of our character from different angles.

It is important to pre- plan and ensure permission is granted, to confirm it is OK for you to film either on someone else's property but also to maybe capture the public who maybe in the location at the same time. It also guarantee's no last minute dissapointment when you turn up at the location and you are turned away and permission is rejected. This would definitely scramble your shooting schedule therefore it is very important to do this.

Photo-shoot plan

We created a photo shoot plan, in order to set out the type of photo's we wish to take and create for our production package of a Digi pack.

We have really thought about the variety of editing techniques and camera shots we can use. For example one of the shots of our male character is to be taken with a fish eye lens, which really emphasises the emotion in the song, as it enlarges the object close to the camera, and decreases the size of the background, therefore making the character look like they're centre of attention.

The main photo on the front of our CD cover, is to be a collage of pictures we have taken of Nathan showing different emotions.

Advert Designs

Using photo shop, Brittany has edited this photograph into an Advert design for the artist Emily Thisleton. I really like the effect she has used of repetition and fading as the images overlap eachother to create illusion to the viewer. Brittany is very skilled in photo shop due to her photography background, therefore this gives us a great advantage to creating great work, but also she has helped me learn some skills in using the programme.

We chose to use the purple writing here, as it matches the dark colours of the edited image, which makes the cover look professional and as a whole. Also we have tried to make the composition of the writing balance out with the image by putting it on the opposite side. This ensures the cover doesn't look uneven to the viewer and the whole space is used.

Below is a video we created which shows opinions of our target audience towards the advert. We had great responses, especially about the editing technique therefore this feedback has given us a hint into what an audience in the modern day wants to see and is attractive; unusual and imaginative editing.

Shooting schedule

We have not yet confirmed dates yet therefore we have left this column blank until the planning process is complete and we can confirm the availability of our locations.

A shooting schedule has really helped us to plan out and write down the separate locations we wish to use when filming, and what characters are going to be in these shots but also what member of the crew we need. Most of the shots will include myself in London, however Nathan will also be filmed against a green screen where after we will edit a background behind him, but also use his lip sync to fade him into some of the London shots. We really like this technique and have seen it in previous work which has worked effectively but also in professional music video. We now wish to develop our skills enough on final cut and other editing programmes to be able to make our film look the best and most professional it can.

We also think the variety of internal and external shots is important for this video, as they can represent different emotions against the character for example outside in a congested area in London like Oxford Street,  would enhance upon the audience that the character feels intimidated and like a 'stranger' to the location and people around her; it is a new environment she is not used to.

Location shots

For this post, we decided to use the application ANIMOTO, to create a short 30 second video of a variety of the locations we wish to use. We thought this is more visual and interesting but also its a new application of technology we haven't used before, therefore we have increased our technical knowledge in the process.

The locations we have chosen are specific to the lyrics and the meaning of the song which is London. Therefore we have chosen a variety of areas in London, which we think will be effective with the editing techniques we wish to use, for example fast motion editing in South Bank skate park.

To show the difference in atmospheres within London we want to film in both day and night time, internal and external.

List of Props,Costumes, make-up and equipment

Props
Our props were kept pretty simple, as we wanted our main focus to me on the image of our artists and the location rather than the props used. However, we decided that when we film the lip syncing for our lead male role than he should an acoustic guitar to play. We thought that this prop would connote well with our pop image that we're trying to create, as many male pop artists such as Ed Sheeran, Jason Mraz and James Morrisson all incorporate an acoustic guitar in their music video's as it's effective to the portrayal of their image which is relaxed and laid back.
Our second prop that we're going to use is a bicycle with a basket. We added the basket to our bicycle to make it more feminine, to really emphasize the vulnerableness and loneliness that this young girl in our music video is experiencing. Also, as our location is set in London, we observed how most young people travel around London, which was either by bus or by bike. However, we thought that by using a bike we would be able to capture a variety of more interesting shots in our music video and use different special effects to our advantage (like a fast motion effect.)
Costumes
As I've previously discussed in other posts, the costume choice was pretty easy for us as we wanted our target audience to relate easily to our lead female. Therefore we didn't want to over exaggerate our character or give her dramatic, over the top clothes to wear. Therefore we went with the 'typical' image of a London girl, who dresses quite funky. Topshop is extremely popular amongst young girls so we thought that if she dressed similar to the 'topshop image' then as well as being relatable to our audience they can also aspire and admire her. To be specific Charlotte would probably dress in something like a vintage cardigan, with shorts and some funky tights. What is useful as well is that Charlotte has a very popular haircut, therefore she would be more of a fashion icon.
Our males style is going to be pretty similar, as we want to be relatable to our male audience. Like Topshop, Topman is also extremely popular amongst young boys and especially for some pop artists like Olly Murs, JLS and One Direction. It is important to remain within the stereotype of our chosen genre, and make aspects of this really obvious. Nathan would most likely to be wearing something like chinos, boat shoes and maybe a hoody.
Make-up
Make-up was something that we were undecided about for quite some time. We couldn't decide whether we wanted to have her natural or to have her made up. We then decided that maybe we should use both for different shots. She could be made up when she's searching the streets of London, as if she is trying to make something of herself and to emphasize the glamour. However, we could do her make up naturally when we're trying to convey her loneliness, as if she's been stripped of all her confidence and ego and this is how she really feels in London (which is lonely and sad.)
Equipment
It didn't take us long to decide on the equipment that we would need for our music video. As I also do Photography for A-Level I already have my own Nikon camera that films in HD. This is an advantage for me and Charlotte as I am always using my camera and have previous experience in filming with it. It will also improve the quality of our shots and develop our music video to be more successful as framing is a key element. We will also need to rent out a tri-pod from school, as we will need it for tracking shots and high angle shots etc. This will also make our shots more steady, because if it is shaky it might  detract from what's in our shot. We will also be using the green screen for a few of our shots, which we will also have to book, as well as a technician to help us set up. I am most looking forward to using the green screen as I like challenging myself as I am not that confident with using it. Lastly, we will also be booking out the lighting to take with us to London, as the lighting is crucial to convey the emotion within our music video and therefore we have to consider when high or low key lighting would be useful.

After a lot of thought, me and Charlotte decided that we would like to make signs to use at the beginning of our music video. Our song was originally called 'The City' but we decided to rename it to 'London Calls Me A Stranger,' as this is a key lyric used throughout the song and it fits our genre. As 99% of our footage is going to be filmed in London, our location and setting is also related to our title. Therefore, me and Charlotte was going to write it onto a big piece of card, but then we discovered an old music video where we got the idea to do this: (short clip taken from the video)

We then decided that each word in our title should be written on five different pieces of card. We are then going to blue tack the black card onto cardboard, and at the start of our music video Nathan would take them off one my one. We might have to use a fast motion effect to speed up Nathan doing it, as we want this to happen before the lyrics come in; and they start within about the first ten seconds. This will work successfully as I think that this idea is original and no other group will be using it. I also like the mood and atmosphere that Bob Dylan creates in this clip, as he seems quite relaxed and carefree which is something that we wanted to bring to our artist. Therefore, we'll show Nathan this clip and hopefully he can make notes on things like posture, facial expression and body language to create this image.

Storyboards

We have created a video with our chosen song in the background including the separate shots that we wish to use when filming. This is only a plan therefore it may change as our plans develop and more ideas arise.
It's important to follow a storyboard not only for the filming but the editing as well, for something to make reference to so you don't go off track. It is a guidance tool, and it makes the shots we wish to use clear, especially with the detail next to the shot explaining the sound, lyrics, movement of camera and character.

Brand Identity

Digipack Ideas
Both myself and Charlotte came up with a creative idea to use for our digipack which would involve us developing our skills in photoshop. We want to take one amazing photo of the location that we are going to film in (which would be London.) We then wanted to edit this photo so that it really stood out and had connotations of our genre. We then came up with the idea that maybe we could take a series of images of Nathan (who is going to be our lead male) and display them like a mini photo shoot. We would like to edit our mini series of photo's so that the vibrant colours reflect our pop/indie genre.
Lastly, we came up with the idea to print our series of images onto elletrocet, so that when we overlap these images onto our location photo our pictures of our lead male will look as though they are faded, as if he is being consumed by London like in the narrative of our song.

Here are some similar digipack covers that me and Charlotte found when planning our idea's. What we also need to include into our digipack is the title of our artist and the name of our song. We especially liked the idea of having the series of images and then the artists name in the centre, so that it really stands out and is therefore going to be the image that attracts them. However, when taking a second look they'll see the mini series of photo's and become intrigued. I think that this will be a clever approach to use for our digipack, however we are still discussing our different idea's.

I really enjoyed choosing our ideas for our font, as me and Charlotte both knew what image we wanted to portray, therefore we had considered the size, style and boldness etc. Above are the five selections that we were mostly interested in, with our chosen artists name. We decided on Frank because we wanted something simple for the first name, nothing to dramatic or extreme. This is because we want our audience to be able to relate to our artist, therefore by giving him a realistic name makes him more relatable.

Planning posts - checking your progress Oct 16th SJA

www:
  • The planning posts on 'Initial Ideas' and job roles show effort and some imaiginative use of ICT to present and communicate ideas.
  • The use of short iMovie to communicate your 'initial ideas' is really effective. I think you also did something similiar for your post on 'Image Annotation' - but there seems to be a copyright bar on this now - so you will have to come back and re-think how to present your ideas.
  • I thought your practice CD cover on photoshop looked really good - you selected an excellent photograph that seemed really suited to the idea of 'artist' and similiar representations in this genre. The font choice also worked really well with the simplicity of your image, as did the sepia effect. Nice work on this.

ebi:
  • I am quite concerned at how many posts are missing from 'Planning' so far Brittany? I thought you had been busy working on this??
  • You obviously need to come back to the post on 'Technical tutorials' - and upload your greeenscreen / final cut work to this.
  • Lyrics post has the lyrics, but nothing else?? You need to sit down with Charlotte and a print out of the lyrics and really thoroughly annotate every line to show your thoughts and ideas (where do you plan to shoot scenes? How will you communicate the narrative? Specific camera shots / ideas you want to incorporate?) Posts on 'Song Details', 'Lyrics' and 'Concept' all need more work.
  • Where is your photoshop work for the advert planning / ideas? This needs to be there. You also need to provide written explanation about your ideas / thinking behind the image of Jade you used for the CD cover design practice task. Please don't just upload an image without any explanation Charlotte.
Planning progress so far: IN (Improvement Needed) - you know you have work to catch up on Brittany. I know it will end up looking amazing, but try to stay on top of it to avoid putting yourself through all the grief of last minute rushing. To reach the top of Level 4 (which is what you are certainly aiming for) you really need to show creativity, innovation, imagination and ICT technical flair for every post. The 'Planning' section of your blog really should provide you with loads of opportunities to demonstrate all of these things.

CD COVER DESIGN

Here I have used photoshop to create a draft CD cover of our artist Nathan Bedford against a plain background holding a hooded gesture. We have decided to get Nathan to do this position as it's quite enclosed and private which relates to the title, 'London calls me a stranger'. The character looks very lonely and unhappy due to his facial expression looking down at the floor revealing a loss of confidence in comparison to if he was smiling and making eye contact with the viewer. I have edited the picture into a black and white colour scheme to contradict the stereotype of London being colourful and exciting, because this characters lyrics reveal his segregation and separation he feels.
I think that this is my most interesting CD cover design as there is a lot going on and looks similar to an illusion. However, I think that this is definitely the most eye grabbing out of the three. My favourite aspect of this CD cover is the cropped out eyes, with the overlapping of the text. I think that that is what makes the photo as success as it is. It adds an interesting element, as it emphasizes that in the pop industry your image is always important and that artists are forever trying to do something new or completely wacky to gain attention and publicity. One thing that I think we could improve on is that none of our colours used necessarily the correct connotations of what a stereotypical pop cd cover would look like. Pop CD covers generally have vibrant colours to convey the happy, upbeat tempo that is portrayed through their lyrics. However, this CD cover uses dull and dreary colours and doesn't have much life to it. I would say that overall this CD cover looks more techno than pop, however I enjoyed experimenting with the different editing and techniques on photoshop, using these skills that I've gained to help develop my idea's for my actual CD cover.
I think that this CD is successful as I think that it is a really well framed picture and is really captivating. The contrast between her skin colour and her eyes I think is capture really well as her eyes are more bold and therefore is a direct address to her target audience, as it seems as though she is looking at them. This was also another development of our photoshop skills as it took a while to figure out how to contrast the tones and colours in our picture, however I think that it has resulted in making our CD cover more successful. The background image also contrasts with the foreground image, as the foreground image is very bright and has a sort of smooth/soft texture. Whereas the background is dominated with dark, negative imagery and conveys a rough texture. One thing that we could improve on when we come to actually creating our CD cover is that even though everything worked well like the framing and the quality of the picture etc. I still think that this CD cover isn't an obvious pop genre, and I need to ensure that this attracts my target audience as this is the genre of music that they'll listen too.
Our last CD cover is definitely the most successful out of the three. This is because it has all of the connotations of what a pop CD cover would look like. Myself and Charlotte spent a duration of time researching a font that we think would gel really well with our CD cover, as we wanted our third attempt to be our best. I really like this font because it's simple but yet will still capture our audiences attention. Also, the font is slightly girly but not in an obvious way, and so therefore it will still attract both genders. I also like how subtle our background is, as in the previous two I think that it slightly distracted us from our main image in the foreground. The use of mise en scene has worked really well as the high key lighting and facial expression/body language really convey the emotion of what might be incorporated in a pop song, without being to dramatic or over the top. By also using a simple but effective background, it has allowed our font to be more prominent. Overall there is nothing that I would like to improve on for this CD cover, and this is definitely our most successful.

Concept

For our concept I decided to create a mood board for all of our costumes and locations that we had decided on. I wanted my mood board to look creative to emphasize the creative approach that we wanted to bring to our music video. Our main focus for this is our locations, costumes and props. As I have mentioned before our music video has a very strong narrative and therefore all three of these elements are key. Therefore, myself and Charlotte spent a long duration of time deciding on a specific look that we wanted. As the majority of our music video is going to be filmed around London, then we wanted a 'typical' London look that most young girls/boys have. Both Topshop & Topman are extremely popular amongst our target audience, therefore we decided to research outfits that went with their look.

For our props we decided that we should keep it simple, so that we don't detract from the key elements of our music video. Therefore we are only thinking of using an acoustic guitar and possibly a bicycle. We choose to incorporate an acoustic guitar as many male pop artists such as Ed Sheeran, James Morrisson and Jason Mraz use these throughout their video's to convey a casual, relaxed mood. We also choose to use the bicycle as it's a typical stereotype for a young person to travel around London on either bus or bike. However, we thought that by using a bike it would make our music video more interesting and we'd be able to use a variety of shots.
A special effect that I am really keen and looking forward to using in our video is the fast motion effect. It was this particular shot from a video that inspired us to use a special effect like this for our own. The girl is a representation of loneliness, even though she is in a busy environment where everyone is getting on with their own lives, she feels as though she is stuck in the same place going nowhere. I think that that idea is reflected really well in this particular shot and that is why me and Charlotte have chosen to re-construct something similar in our own.

Final Assessment 'RESEARCH' Oct 10th SJA

www:

- Well done for going back through teacher feedback thoroughly and investing so much energy and time in getting your Research section completed to a really high standard Brittany.
- All posts are visual, with many of an 'excellent' standard of thought, creativity in presentation and revealing excellent subject knowledge. I really like the use of very short 'extracts' from music videos, and the use of gifs throughout.
- Your analytical posts are really interesting to read, as you clearly are thinking carefully about how artists working within different genres choose to represent themselves.
- Your analysis of the audience questionnaire was excellent, and I hope the findings will be of good use in your planning.

ebi (for Planning & Evaluation Sections now):

- Time management is always going to be a key issue as the next few months progress. You are going to be really busy - that is just part of it all Brittany I'm afraid. Time management is also one of the assessment criteria for your coursework - so please set aside your free periods to use the media rooms as much as you can to get the tasks done - to a consistantly high standard.
- Always think of ways (and be prepared to allow yourself time) to really come up with creative and unique ways to present each posts - make sure you use functions like the YouTube tagging feature, or a voice over commentary to talk through any analytical posts. Use JING to 'show' technical skill - this will boost your mark in this aspect of your blog.
- Be super organised in the Planning stages of your music video now - None of your work over the coming weeks can be thrown together - you will need to storyboard, plan effectively, try out lighting, etc, etc... Always document this and keep on top of blog posts.
- You need to clearly LABEL all of your posts under 'Research' and 'Planning'

Overall mark for RESEARCH section: Level 4... there is really some excellent work here, please make sure this continues, with no inconsistency in the quality of your posts.
The 'Planning' section should give you the opportunity to really show off what you can do in terms of presentation, use of ICT, and clever, creative communication of your thoughts and ideas.
